The Perfect Home

Close your eyes and envision your dream home. The perfect decor with amazing colors and a comfy cozy feeling. Very welcoming and let me guess its spotless and very organized right?

Now open your eyes and think about your current home. Is it perfectly decorated with entrancing soothing colors and organized?

If you answered yes to this question then you can stop reading now. If you answered no to this question like I did then please join me!

My living room and kitchen currently look like a tornado rolled through. Granted I have a 1 year old that at times is very much like a mean gnarly tornado.

When I get home from work around 6 pm I feed my baby, bathe my baby, and try to get some quality time in with her and my hubby before bedtime. The dishes and laundry are no where near my to do list. All I want to do is try to relax and unwind while my toddler tornado rips through my house.

I have been doing some blog stocking and pinning lately of ways to organize my life & home. One of the main things I looked at is having a cleaning schedule. I went over several different plans that fabulous bloggers like Ask Anna and Clean Mama came up with and kind of created my own from there. They have some great checklists to print off as well :)

Your needs may be different then mine but I was looking for something that would take me less then an hour every night to keep my home in order because those moments with my little tornado are very precious to me.
So here is what I came up with:

Mondays: bathrooms & 1 load of laundry, pick up toys
Tuesdays: Dust, vacuum, sweep & 1 load of laundry, pick up toys
Wednesdays: trash, mop & 1 load of laundry, pick up toys
Thursdays: Kitchen & 1 load of laundry, pick up toys
Fridays: clean out car & 1 load of laundry, pick up toys
Saturdays: pull weeds, laundry, pick up toys
Sunday: rest

I think this is a good start! Wish me luck because this is what I am up against!

meet my little tornado!

    1. Thank you for coming over! And yes it is so hard to keep up with them. You can clean up one mess and they are tearing something else apart. It is crazy!
