Do you have #Support in your life?

As I mentioned once before I work full-time as a Loan Processor for an amazing company, Patriot Home Mortgage.

I am licensed to originate my own loans but I honestly enjoy the processing side of it all rather than the selling side. I am not a good salesman.

But that is besides the point.

As a processor I juggle about 25-30 files at one time. Each file, or borrower, is very unique from the rest so staying organized with what file is at what stage in the process & keeping track of the unique qualities of each can be stressful at times.

I will be honest & say that there has been more than one occasion where I have questioned my decision to be a processor over the past 6 years.

One of the biggest reasons for this doubt is because part of our job is to deal with multiple people on each file. Whether it be the borrower, the Realtor  the title company or the many many different people you communicate with at the lender you are sending the loan to. There can be a lot of pressure and frustrations along the way. Sometimes you are at the mercy of someone else doing their job efficiently.

And because you are the processor, or  middle man, when things do not go as planned you often feel the blame, whether it was directed at you or not.

Luckily for me I currently work for an amazing team within Patriot Home Mortgage. I have an incredible support group with our team. We all know we stand equal & we are valued & trusted to do our job.

I am sharing this because I know a lot of you have high stress jobs like mine and I know how things can be on the other end when you do not have support or trust at work.

Before I came to Patriot a year ago I worked in an environment that I was not supported at all. It wasn't always that way but towards the end of my time there it became very clear that it was time for me to move on and find a better place for myself.

I hope and pray that each of you has the support you  need in your life. Without it it is really hard to stay positive at work and it definitely carries into your personal life as well. My husband does not like it when I bring the bad home with me.

If you do not have the support you need please let me know. I would love to try and be that support for you.

  1. I need a support. But this is not a kind of #support you mention in this post. I need weight loss support. Does it count? Happy Saturday! Have a nice weekend.

  5. Having a great support team at work is incredibly powerful and rare to find. I work in a corporate environment where at times it is hostile and intimidating, but having support from my managers and peers gets me through the day!

  9. Wow, I can really relate to this. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I'm a Mary Kay consultant, so sometimes I often feel the frustration of trying to get a hold of people and waiting around on someone. Fortunately, MK is amazingly supportive of their consultants. I go to meetings each week where other women constantly pour into me & build me up. We definitely do all need support. I'm glad you have that in your work place now.

    1. Thank you Melissa! I'm so happy you have found a great environment to work in as well! It is so important and often something we overlook in our busy lives because it is "just a job". For just being a job it takes up A LOT of our time every day.
      thanks again!

  12. Great post, Keia! I was so stressed at my job this week. I often question my career path. I work as an accounting clerk and I really do not enjoy it. I hope that when I graduate with my Bachelors degree in May I can move into something else!

Hope you are having a great weekend!
